Duplicator i3 Camera Mount for Z brace
thingiverse
I designed a simple camera mount for my Wanhao Duplicator i3 with Z brace mod installed because HillbillyZT's mount wouldn't work with the Z brace modification. I came up with my own design. This mount is compatible with any standard 1/4" tripod-mounted cameras, but I specifically created it to work well with my Logitech C615. When used with the C615 (or other cameras having multiple swivel points), this mount can be utilized for either portrait or landscape orientation. The camera can be placed on the left or right side of the mount. 2/18/17 Update: If your camera doesn't have a tripod mount but has a way to hang or clamp onto a monitor, try using webcam_version.stl instead. Webcams should be able to clamp onto the top of that version without any issues. 3/31/17 Update: I created Webcam Short Version.stl as per SoylentGeek's request, which is a shorter webcam version with more clearance for folks who have Y belt pulley mods installed. To assemble this mount, you will need a 1/4"x1/2" bolt and a 1/4" washer. The mount slides onto the front Y brace from the Z brace mod. A spacer is necessary to remove the gap between the mount and the Y brace. The size of the spacer required will vary depending on the size of the rubber feet used. To accommodate this, I included a step file and f3d file for the spacer. The default size is 3.3mm, which worked for me, but you can adjust it using press/pull in any modeling software.
