A question arose regarding whether a 3D-printed key could operate a real lock. In a test, the key successfully opened the lock multiple times; however, its flexibility due to spring tension suggests limited durability. The success of the key depends on the required torque to operate the lock. To maximize strength, I printed it at 0.10mm with 100% fill. Unfortunately, the design was flipped, so future prints should have the blade touching the build plate. This specific key only functions in a matching lock. To create it, I scanned the original key (or used a picture), imported it as a background image, outlined it with a line, measured and scaled its dimensions, added thickness, and included key channels. The printed key exhibited some variations from the model, but these were not critical for this particular lock.
