Don't be enamored with large-scale printing or dual color prints; you might prefer a smaller 3D printer that doesn't take up an entire table. The RepliMaker is designed for this purpose - it's a combination of the Replicator and Ultimaker, featuring reduced dimensions (5 inches shorter and a lowered interior base by 10mm) to offer more Z-travel space. This printer measures 8" x 8" x 8" with a single extruder, perfect for those waiting on PVA support before trying dual extrusion. If you have laser access, help test it out and report issues; if not, consider contributing by designing 2D files. Still needed are 3D printable X/Y/Z components similar to MakerBot's injection-molded ones, a new laser-cuttable print bed (like an Ultimaker Z axis), and cutouts for mounting electronics and accessories.
