DungeonSticks - StarLink Test Piece
thingiverse
I'm working on creating a new locking mechanism for my DungeonSticks system. The cavern layout is great for free-form designs, but when it comes to geometric shapes like dungeons and buildings, you often want clean angles and stable layouts. This test piece showcases the potential of the "StarLink" system, which works similarly to cavern sets but locks into place at 45-degree angles. The StarLink system has some compromises, particularly with triangles since their longest side isn't always a fixed length. However, it performs exceptionally well for rectangular shapes. I'm eager to hear your feedback on whether you prefer this locking mechanism or would rather see pieces like these use the standard drop-in, fully rotating peg system. This test set includes both blank templates and a sample "Old stone" design type 2" wall for testing purposes.
