I'm all about community collaboration to build these out further, so am thrilled to release these templates. Starlink allows for geometric locking and keeping room shape at 45-degree angles. The system has a few drawbacks, particularly when you get to triangular rooms since the hypotenuse of triangles is never a consistent 1" grid length. But the point of DungeonSticks is quick, throw-down style terrain, so it's manageable. For round/peg style, they can rotate freely and are perfect for organic-style layouts, like cavern walls. You can design them to be fixed/standard sizes (like 2 or 3") or you can make them any shape/length, and they will still work and look great! There are hollow cutouts inside the peg piece, which helps strengthen the peg through its weakest portion (since the slider will do the full width walls around the geometry, which was a failure point in previous versions). **STARLINK NOTES** This template set includes the raw male/female starlink ends, 2/3/4" template straight walls, and 2 & 3 way couplers in both male and female. Link portion takes up 1/2", but the piece itself is slightly less than 1/2" to accommodate some tolerances in printing. Refer to the picture for sizing if you wanna make standard width designs. **ROUND PEG (v2) NOTES** Also included are templates for round peg versions (v2). V1 was all the sets I had released before today - they worked great but had a few shortcomings, particularly with the peg design - this version fixes the majority of those, by shortening the peg, modifying design slightly, and adding hollow core for strength. **CHANGELOG** - _05-26-19_ : Updated male peg pieces to include insider geometry hollows for better strength and printing, and added a few missing couplers (3way MMF and FFM) - _05-28-19_ : Added round peg (v2) templates to this listing. **DESIGN NOTES** 1. When adding texture to the peg upper columns, you should remove geometry, not add or your sticks will not fit together well. 2. For starlink, you can make the "pillar" portion round or square if you want instead of octagonal, to change design, but note that that will potentially limit the angles they can be joined (square would only allow 90 degrees, for example) 3. If you use these templates / system, please remix this template and you must release them under the same license (Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-commercial - Share-alike) 4. Starlink templates are 1" (25.4mm) tall. Original cavern/round peg DungeonSticks v1 are ~18mm high, and round v2 is around 20mm high. I like the taller look for man-made wall structure to make them seem more like a cutoff full wall, than a fence-type structure. You can cut the top down and amount if you want yours to be shorter though.
