Dungeon Dolls: Town Guard Captain
myminifactory
Ever dreamed of combining the stylish designs of FlatMinis with the customization options of Dungeon Dolls? Well, your search is over! I drew inspiration from GrumpyRobot's iconic FlatMinis and DutchMogul's innovative Dungeon Doll system to create my own unique take on this classic design. This versatile Town Guard Captain model features a trusty sword, an embossed shield, pants with curved boots, an embossed shirt adorned with pauldrons, a plain headpiece, and a plain base. I printed mine at 200% scale using red filament, and the result is a sturdy figure standing 56 mm tall. You can also print it at 150% scale using grey filament, which yields a slightly shorter figure measuring 42 mm. One of the best things about this design is its modularity and customizability - you can mix and match different components to create your own unique look. And the best part? These designs are fully compatible with DutchMogul's original Dungeon Dolls, but not with FlatMinis. I created these designs using Tinkercad, a popular 3D modeling tool, and printed them on my library's 3D printer. However, you can print them on your own Monoprice MP Select Mini 3D printer if you prefer. This design is the remixed and improved version of a project I started working on back in 2014, but unfortunately had to abandon due to printability issues. The shield included with this model comes in four different varieties - two of which are featured here. You can choose from designs with or without an embossed sunrise pattern.
