Duncan Mask for Celestron CPC8
thingiverse
This is my latest 3D printed take on the Duncan mask, a project I originally tackled using foam sheets. I first stumbled upon the idea at alpha-lyrae.co.uk, where they shared their approach to creating a Schmitt-Cassegrain collimation system with ease using a Duncan mask. Next, I created a foam sheet version of it, which I proudly showcased on Cloudynights.com. You can check out the thread here: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/585763-collimate-collimate-collimate-you-will-be-glad-you-did/page-2 Finally, when I gained access to a large format 3D printer, I translated the design into FreeCAD and produced two high-quality prints. These Duncan masks work fantastically for my Celestron CPC8 and my friend's trusty old Celestron C8 Deluxe. Take a look!
