Run a Nerf blaster on two rechargeable IMR batteries instead of four AA cells using this dummy cell modification: http://www.makersbox.us/2019/09/basic-stryfe-electrical-modifications.html. You will need an M4 x 45 mm steel pan head Phillips screw and nut, available at https://www.mcmaster.com/92005a238. Alternatively, you can try using an 8-32 or 6-32 x 1.75" pan head screw and nut; some users have reported success with these options, but I haven't personally tested them yet.
