DUM-series Pit Droid (Star Wars Black Series) - 1:12 scale

The DUM-series pit droid was a model of repair droid manufactured by Serv-O-Droid, Inc. Pit droids were cheap, expendable, and incredibly durable repair droids. Pit droids were programmed with a sense of urgency, though their minimal logic processors prevented them from completing complex tasks.-----I've been working through a roster of iconic droids from the Star Wars universe in Black Series scale. I'll be uploading more soon, but this is the latest - the comical and chaotic pit droids first seen in Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. The droids are somehow delicate and robust at the same time, which appealed to me.There are other pit droid models out there - even a couple that work at Black Series scale - but they have scads of parts and feel extremely complex for FDM printing. Like my other droids, I wanted something simpler and more forgiving that can be made on a typical FDM printer. It is optimized for printing, not necessarily 100% screen accurate. The droid uses 1.75mm filament for the knee joints and the antenna. The ball joint sockets are repurposed and scaled up versions of the excellent LUCKY 13 Printable Jointed Figure by soozafone. As I upload more droids you'll see these are becoming a mainstay for me.
