Duli - Dual Stereo Over-Ear Headphones
thingiverse
This project initially focused on creating prototypes and manufacturing services for Yuni headphones (http://www.yuniheadphones.com/), designed to cater to individuals with unilateral hearing loss. Yuni features two distinct ear cups - one containing two speakers angled towards the ear to preserve left-right channel separation, and a dummy cup with no components. The Duli version of this project is tailored for individuals with standard, dual-hearing capabilities (regular headphones). Although Yunis are available for purchase through the provided link, Dulis are currently not up for grabs until the team catches up on orders. As always, other items can be purchased from their Etsy store (link provided in instructions). A 'vitamin kit' containing all non-printed components necessary for assembling Duli headphones is available on Tindie (https://www.tindie.com/products/CarryTheWhat/duli-headphones-vitamin-kit/). The estimated cost of the vitamin kit, excluding shipping, amounts to approximately $22, with additional costs for printed components. These printed parts include earcover_caps x2, earcovers x2, pin1 x4, pin2 x2, headband_full or headband_half x2, and headband_join. The headband is not adjustable; however, if you encounter fit issues, you can export a different size with assistance from OpenSCAD. During assembly, four small wires with stripped ends are required for connecting 1/8th inch jacks to speaker drivers, ensuring correct polarity.
