Duke: Lord's Legacy Custom Board
prusaprinters
An upgraded board for the Duke: Lord's Legacy game (or any game played on a 6x6 grid). This way I can fail to use the assassin properly in style. For my board, I used Hatchbox wood fil on a Prusa Mk3s. I like the sanding and staining properties of the Hatchbox, though I ended up also using MG woodfil, which color matched well. Were it me, I would not use layers greater than 0.15mm, and if patient, 0.1 will save you a lot of sanding time. Careful with the print speed around the crenelations as they are quite fragile. To allow printing on larger and smaller printers, the parts are also quartered, with accommodation for reinforcing pins (I cut the heads off some machine screws and cemented with a CA gel). The seams are not strong enough without the reinforcement. The finished piece was stained with Minwax Rustic Mahogany Wiping Stain for the darker wood, and Cherrywood Gel Stain and coated with Valspar Antiquing Glaze. The board surface was airbrushed (unthinned) with brass Liquid Leaf and also coated with the antiquing glaze. Then entire thing is covered with threeish coats of glossy polycrylic. The towers are from Thingiverse: nyktunr's "Rook tower with central column". The corner columns are the middle of Trispectiv's "Column".
