Duet3D Smart Effector Cable Constraint

Duet3D Smart Effector Cable Constraint

thingiverse

The Duet3D Smart Effector's wires take a beating as they're bent by the nozzle while printing, causing mechanical wear and tear on the cables running down from above. I've encountered this issue myself during several service runs. PCB plugs are not designed to handle movement, making them prone to damage. This simple cable clip solves the problem by securing the plug on the Smart Effector's PCB. It doesn't eliminate the issue entirely, but it does help minimize the wear and tear on the wires. So far, I've had good results with this solution. I haven't created a similar clip for the heater connector yet because its cables are sturdier and easier to attach securely. Only time will tell if additional protection is needed in that area.
