Update 29-10-17 V2 Released. Improvements: - The design is now taller so users can easily access the breach release. - The side bracket has been modified to provide more space for fingers to fit inside where the breach is located. - A new version of Lykle's Nimble mount is included, which features a Smart Effector with a nut trap that prevents the large nut holding the hotend heatsink from unscrewing. This was a major issue with the original design because it made it impossible to tighten the nut using a tool. However, when assembling the system, users need to screw the heatsink in while remembering to insert the PTFE guide tube between the Nimble mount and the hotend. To ensure proper alignment, users should turn the nut so that the heater block faces the desired direction. - The Nimble mount also includes a third screw to address the issue of the drive cable mount being attached only on one side. I have created a mount for the Duet3D filament monitor beta board to fit the Nimble extruder. I printed it in ABS and then acetone washed it to improve its strength, as some parts had to be quite thin. Users are encouraged to modify and improve upon this design. The right-hand support shown is not a perfect fit in real life, so I bonded it to the side of the filament monitor housing. If users are using their Nimble extruder in a different orientation (for example, left-handed instead of right-handed), they should simply mirror the larger part in their slicer or CAD software before printing.
