Duet3 Case for HEVO

Duet3 Case for HEVO

I need a case for my new Duet3(v1.0) board, but I was unable to find one here, so I decided to design my own and this is the result. The cover has a place to mount a 40x40 fan to cool the drivers. The cover also has mounting points for Raspberry PI (if you decide to use one) as well as an opening for the cable. My initial design was not tested yet for fit - all dimensions have been taken from drawing of V0.6 board on DUET site. 07.2020 - I uploaded V2 with following fixes: The case has a different fan grill now, which provides better strength when printing (removing support) as well as openings for M3 screws if you decide to mount the fan there. The case has openings for embedding M3 nuts to fix the cover using M3 bolts. The case also has additional openings for cables. The case has raised from bottom openings where the RJ45/11 connectors, micro USB and SD card enter for better visual appearance. The cover has a fixed cover for opening of the ribbon cable - so when not in use (as in my case - Standalone mode) it can be left there and can be cut-away at later stage. The cover fan was screwed using M3 bolts/nuts (it is a bit fiddly to initially start the thread, but it works when using long nose pliers). Print settings: Both parts barely fit my PrusaI3-clone bed (180x190mm), so maybe ABS is not the best material to use (due to warping), I used PETG. Both parts need full support due to some stiff overhangs. Mounting instructions: The initial version cover/lid was planned to be held to the base using wood screws (maybe I'll design emended nuts in future). The fan is screwed again using wood screws. The board is secured to the case using M4 nuts and bolts. The RPI (if one) is secured to the cover using M2.5 nuts and bolts. PS V1 WAS WORK IN PROGRESS - print at your own risk! Use V2 instead! If after this disclaimer you decided to print one and found some flaws, please drop me a message so that I can fix them. Photo is from V1.5 and with a bad extruder - your results shall be much better. This variant case has no raised from bottom openings.
