Duet2 Wifi and Ethernet and Duex plate mount with cooling
thingiverse
This enclosure mounts the Duet3D Duet2 Wifi/Ethernet and Duex neatly, with full access to the boards and their cooling systems. It's modular, so you can use it separately for either board or together for both. The panel design allows for unobstructed airflow around the base of the boards, which keeps them cool under the mounting system. The boards sit flush at the top, exposing the area where air flow is most needed. Testing has shown this setup to work well, reducing MCU temperatures on the Duet2 by 10C in as little as 15-20 seconds. Designed for a custom printer project, this enclosure was created in just an afternoon. Its main purpose is to house electronics under the printer while keeping them accessible for maintenance and future repairs. If you're interested in seeing how it all comes together, follow along with my printer build - a large IDEX Direct Drive BCN3D-style fully custom printer at http://joekelly.co. The enclosure was printed using PETG at 0.2 layer height with walls and top/bottom layers set to 3mm. There's also a blanking plate for the fan holes, which are three 40x40 openings.
