Duet WiFi Ultimaker 2 Power Connector and Duet WiFI Board mount
thingiverse
I'm trying to combine my Ultimaker 2 power connector housing, which doesn't require a PCB, with ddt154's work on mounting a Duet WiFi board on the bottom of the Ultimaker 2. The mount designed by ddt154 has been heavily modified using both Blender and SketchUp. My goal is to mount the Duet Wifi board closer to the base as shown in the pictures for easier access to connectors. Since this project involves modifying STL files rather than creating an original CAD design, some of the mesh could be optimized further. The connector used here is available at: https://eu.mouser.com/datasheet/2/222/KPJX-4S-S-982273.pdf Four M3 screws and four M3 square nuts are required to secure the Duet board to the mount. Additionally, four M3 screws and four M3 nuts are needed to secure the mount to the bottom of the Ultimaker 2 frame. This project is ongoing, and I aim to improve my cable management, which currently resembles a spider web in one of the pictures. I also plan to design a plastic case that fits on the bottom of the Ultimaker while providing ventilation through a grill-like structure. Future plans include ideally incorporating a power switch and a female USB connector (either micro-USB or full-size USB-B) into the connector housing at the back of the printer, keeping it consistent with the original Ultimaker 2 design.
