Duet WiFi plus Duex expansion board enclosure
thingiverse
This enclosure serves as a variant for my Duet WiFi housing, designed to accommodate both the Duet WiFi board and the newly introduced Duex expansion board within a single compact unit. Although it is untested due to the unreleased status of the Duex expansion boards at the time of writing, its functionality should be compatible. The design ensures that the Duet WiFi and Duex expansion boards can be mounted one above the other, mimicking their original back-to-back setup but with a layout that appears as if they are joined at the Vin connector before being separated like a book. Two 80mm fans are integrated within the enclosure to blow air directly onto the back of the boards, following the recommended airflow pattern. These fans exhaust through outlets located in both the top and bottom of the case. The design allows for cable management around the exterior of the boards and provides easy access to all terminals on both boards. This enclosure was tailored to fit my printer with cables entering from the left side and mounting holes in the base, facilitating a seamless installation process. Additionally, the cable entry slots are shorter in the middle section to accommodate a ribbon cable connecting the two boards, ensuring a secure and organized setup. A cutout is provided at the top for effortless access to the micro SD card and reset buttons. To facilitate customization, I have included an OpenScad file that can be adapted according to individual needs.
