Duet WIFI Case
thingiverse
This is a custom case I designed specifically to house the Duet WIFI board. It's engineered to mount snugly into the corner of two 2020 extrusions, just like you see in the accompanying pictures. The case boasts two integrated 40mm fans that provide cooling, with mine connected to a PWM output and programmed to kick in when my CPU hits 40C. While this might be overkill, since I rarely hear them activate, my CPU temps usually hover around 39C even during extended print sessions. You'll find easy access on the front of the case for ejecting the Micro SD card (just use something to press it in) and a reset button that's also easily accessible. Unfortunately, the erase button is recessed and not currently accessible. However, there's a relief cut into the interior of the case to provide clearance if your board has the erase button mounted closer to the edge - I believe there were multiple revisions of this design. The case is carefully crafted to maximize exposure for the WIFI antenna, ensuring better reception. The mounting holes for the lid and board are precision-sized to accommodate a 4mm tap before screw installation; if you plan to screw directly into plastic, you may need to resize these holes beforehand. To facilitate customizations, I've included Fusion 360 files and Step files for both parts - feel free to remix them as needed. Just please mark any changes as a derivative of this original design.
