I absolutely adore Octoprint, as well as the Duet Wifi. Although it's not recommended to print tethered with the Duet, its web interface is incredibly user-friendly. The plugins for Octoprint are truly unbeatable. Personally, I've printed extensively with the Duet tethered with Octoprint on my SeeMeCNCRostock Max V3.2 without experiencing any issues for hundreds of hours. I'm currently in the midst of converting my CR-10 to a fully integrated unit and replacing the stock Melzi board with a Duet. I came across this excellent 2020 mount for the Duet, which led me to believe that I could fit a Raspberry Pi into the case. Fortunately, it's indeed possible to squeeze a Raspberry Pi Model A+ (equivalent to the 3 B+ without additional USB and Ethernet) into the case. To power the Raspberry Pi, you'll need to use a 12v to 5v converter (I recommend using an MP1584 3A Adjustable DC Step Down Converter - it's compact and gets the job done). Next, connect the 5V and GND pins on the GPIO header (you may need to solder them in place). Additionally, you can install a supplementary 40mmx10mm fan within the case to cool both the Duet and Raspberry Pi. I didn't include mounting holes as I plan to secure the fan using double-sided tape, sandwiching it between the base and cover. I've included the Fusion 360 Files and STEP files for your reference, should you wish to make any modifications.
