*Work in progress* updated: Apr 27 2021 - new backplate design with holes for m3 nuts #PanelDue 7i Magnetic Mount ##(remix of Muldex Enclosure) Sort of a remix. This project contains extra parts to hang the Muldex Panel Due Enclosure from a magnetic mount. The backplate included here has been redone (not as pretty as original) and centers the mounting holes. STEP files available on request #Instructions ###Print these original Muldex pieces: FRONT_BEZEL.stl_ * Print as is, no modifications necessary * Use brass M3 inserts in mounting holes. You can use a soldiering iron to heat hem up and push them in. Careful to push slowly and make sure they are strait. You can use a screw to check strait-ness. If insert fails, you can ream out the hole a bit and can glue it in using epoxy or gorilla glue. CLEVIS_MOUNT.stl * No Modifications needed * I recommend lower layer heights so indents are smoother MOUNTING_BLOCK.stl (x2) * Was designed for M3 bolt I think but I could not source an M3 that long. I opted for a M4 sized bolt instead so drilled out the hole. * Print with enough perimiters to allow drilling out hole ###Additional Pieces: BackPlate_centered_v2.stl * insert (4x) m3 nuts into appropriate mounting holes * I used m3x20 to mount but found it was a tad too long. used an extra m3 nut on the shaft to make it a bit shorter. * old backplate v1 (with weird perimeter tabs) - use M3x15 to attach to clevis mount, add glue in holes. I may delete this version as V2 with m3 nuts is superior. BackPlateSpacer.stl * initial version - the holes are too big (sorry) - will upload a fixed one later * in the meantime you can just super glue to the CLEVIS_MOUNT or to BackPlate TopMagnetMount.stl * Print x2 * use supports - its fun to pop out the hexagonal "plugs" with an Allan key! * if magnet is protruding, use electrical tape layers around it and trim with xacto blade. will also give a little tack so it doesn't slide around. TPUNut.stl * print in TPU - only useful only if you used a screw similar to what I used (old xbox screw). Normally you'd use a M3x75 or M4x75 and a nut ###Assembly Attach the left and right mounting blocks to the central clevis mount using a long M4x75mm bolt (I used a bolt from old original XBOX which required an unthreaded TPU nut to secure). If a M3x75mm exists, you don't need to drill it out. Use M5x20 bolt and nuts to secure MOUNTING_BLOCK.stl to TopMagnetMount.stl Use 30mm magnets with included counter sink screws ###Vitamins: Magnets: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07Z3VFGDW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bolts and nuts: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07PHYJ8BB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Inserts: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07L96KVP3/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3KY66I36TSYAT&psc=1 Old XBOX Long Screw (for ref only) - I'd use a proper M3 or M4 bolt if available https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Game-Console/Xbox-One-Screw-Set/IF294-020?o=1
