Duet 2 Maestro Case for 2040 Extrusion

Duet 2 Maestro Case for 2040 Extrusion

thingiverse

This design was created to convert a CR-10 into a standalone machine with a new Duet Maestro board, although I never actually implemented it. I discovered that the new board fits directly in the old enclosure. However, this box design should be suitable for a 2040 extrusion and can be adapted for other applications. Note: I assembled this design in Fusion 360 to ensure all parts fit together properly, even though I haven't printed or tested it yet. I believe this design provides a good foundation for remixing into specific applications for your printer. The design incorporates two fans: a 2040 fan cools the stepper motor drivers and a 1040 fan cools the processor. Since I converted my CR-10 to dual Z, the box is designed to fit behind the Z motor, similar to Prusa and Gmax standalone configurations.
