Duet 2 Maestro Case (3030, 2020) Duet Maestro
thingiverse
Enclosure designed to fit either the 3030 or 2020 profile extrusion, perfect for a Duet 2 Maestro, and can be used without mounting hardware for ultimate flexibility. This enclosure boasts an excellent standoff distance from the bottom, ensuring good convective airflow over the back of the controller where heat is generated. Strategically located vents on the base and top and bottom walls allow for maximum airflow, making it possible to enclose the maestro without relying on fans in most cases. I put this setup to the test with 1400mA for X and Y, and 800mA on Z, E, and E2, all without fans. The MCU temperature remained a cool 40C after a 24-hour print session, with no overheat warnings whatsoever. To ensure optimal airflow, keep your wiring neat and tidy inside the case. To secure the controller to the base, you'll need 4x M3 bolts, while another 4x M3 bolts are required for the lid. If you're printing either the 3030 or 2020 version, make sure to add supports below the tabs only. Use support touching build plate only, and set support horizontal expansion to 0mm to avoid a messy wall along the perimeter. Update 2018-08-31: I've added more clearance between the mounts and the body for improved accessibility. A cable port has been added on the mount side near the power port for easier cable management. The cable ports have been rounded out for a sleeker look. Update 2018-09-01: Larger vents have been added to the base to increase airflow and keep your maestro running smoothly. A lid with cutouts for 12864 ribbon cables has been designed to provide easy access to these critical components. Update 2018-09-02: The cutout sizing for the 12864 lid has been refined for a perfect fit. Holes on the lids have been repositioned to match the body's layout, ensuring a seamless look. Update 2019-04-23: A new lid design with cutouts for paneldue and an external SD card has been added, providing even more flexibility for your maestro setup.
