Duck
thingiverse
I created this stylized duck using Fusion 360 as my design tool of choice. The object was printed in two separate halves before being joined together with the help of two precision plugs and a strong adhesive, effectively eliminating the need for support structures during the printing process and reducing the amount of sanding required to achieve a smooth finish. An STL file containing the complete duck is also included for anyone looking to print it themselves. The objects were printed on an Ultimaker Original+ 3D printer using Colorfabb's Bronzefill material, which provided a durable and long-lasting finish, while the stand was printed with Woodfill for added texture and stability. The following print settings were used: a print speed of 100 mm/s, a print temperature of 210°C, a bed temperature of 70°C, and a nozzle size of 0.4. After the printing process was complete, I carefully joined the two halves together before proceeding to sand and polish the object until the bronze particles began to shine through, giving it a rich, metallic sheen. To add the final touches, I applied a small amount of Brasso for an extra layer of protection and shine.
