Duck Pond
cults3d
A duck takes a leisurely swim on a serene pond. Poor video quality can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ybtkGWoWII. While fine-tuning new component designs and techniques, a innovative project emerged using spare parts. The joy of 3D printing is undeniable! "Skirt.stl" (visible in white in the photo) serves as an optional overlay that conceals the inner workings of the assembly. Showing off the inner mechanics is exciting, but sometimes they need to be hidden for aesthetic reasons. Guess who made the final decision? This design was created using Sketchup 8 and brought to life with a Replicator 2 printer using Makerware. The model was printed in PLA. Special thanks go out to beekeeper for generously providing the duck inspiration!
