This tool helps users create a precise dimple in duck calls or game calls for the top reed of double reed calls, ensuring consistent results by evenly spacing out the dimple on each reed. I have made a brief video explanation available here: https://youtu.be/g2kXZqB98RQ. The dimple is 2 mm in diameter and features a 0.2 mm buffer design for the index spot. I print the first 3 mm as 0.2 mm lines, then switch to 0.1 mm lines for the top to achieve more defined clearance. Alternatively, you can print both sides with 0.1 mm lines for optimal results, using 100% infill and PLA material which works well. I've successfully dimpled reeds of both 10 mil and 14 mil thickness. I assume it's possible to use thicker reeds, but you may experience blowout around the top of the dimple. For hinges, I recommend using 2 mm thick metal coat hangers, which hold up well under use. Feel free to leave any questions or comments and I'll respond as soon as possible.
