Duck Call

Duck Call

Update: I have been granted the opportunity to 3D print my duck call at school using the design I modeled for the "Make It Loud" challenge, which revealed that the original reed size was too small. I took action by increasing it to .012 inches, ensuring a better fit and functionality in the device. To accommodate this change, I also enlarged the gap in the insert to .255 inches. Original: This is my 3D printed duck call model designed for the "Make It Loud" challenge using Autodesk Inventor 2015 software. The simple mechanics behind how duck calls work drew me into designing one - a thin plastic chip vibrates quickly due to human breath pressure. I aimed to create a fully functional real duck call through modeling, but lack of access to a 3D printer prevents me from testing its effectiveness. I rely on those with printing capabilities to try my model out and report their experiences in the comments section. If you choose to take this challenge, your feedback will greatly help refine future models.
