Ducati Desmosedici D16RR Voltage Relocation Bracket

Ducati Desmosedici D16RR Voltage Relocation Bracket

Ducati consistently places temperature-sensitive voltage regulators near the engine, with the 2008 Desmosedici D16RR being one of the most egregious examples - it's mounted on the underside of the air box directly over the engine. As a result, these regulators frequently fail due to excessive heat exposure, leaving riders with a non-charging battery. This relocation bracket is specifically designed to secure the voltage regulator and fuses inside the left front side fairing by using the fuse-block mounting points. The bracket allows for easy installation and provides a safe location for critical electrical components. If you remove your OEM regulator from its original position, chances are it's already been damaged by heat. Installing this relocation bracket with a new voltage regulator is a straightforward process - simply connect the wires and secure everything in place. It's worth noting that I've added DEI Reflect-A-Gold heat shielding to the bracket under the voltage regulator for extra protection. To complete the installation, you'll need 20mm bolts to secure the components to the mount, and it's also recommended to use lock nuts for a secure fit.
