Ducati 1199 Superbike (CHALLENGING) Advanced modelers recommended, at least for now. Model refinements and detailed instructions are on their way for beginner/intermediate modelers. This is a 40+ part build designed specifically for FDM printers like the Ultimaker. The example was printed on an Ultimaker Original at varying resolutions from 0.1mm per layer to 0.15mm per layer. It's painted in Enamels, acrylics, and lacquers. Some fitting and filing may be required. Superglue is needed for a tight fit, but everything has a peg/slot to help with assembly and alignment. Front steering works, rear wheels do not turn if the chain is present - it's obvious why. A rear stand is required to keep the bike free standing. You'll need standard files, superglue, and an exacto knife. Start by building outwards from the Body + engine block. Print the body at a lower layer height one part at a time for a smoother outer finish. More information on the bike can be found on the Ultimaker blog: https://www.ultimaker.com/blogs/news/2014/09/03/3d-printed-ducati-1199-superbike Look for an upcoming guide to printing and assembly!
