I'm thrilled to finally present to you my self-designed double-tapedispenser/adhesive strip holder/adhesive strip automaton! Whatever you want to call it... During the design lessons, we had to sketch two different adhesive strip holders in just five minutes. And one of them was this single-form version. When I went on to draw it in SpaceClaim, I discovered that if I made it a bit wider, two rolls would fit and it could be used on both sides! No idea if it already exists, but this is my design nonetheless! Before we printed it, we had to make a model of it. We could do it with clay, cardboard, or whatever material we wanted. I chose cardboard. After three hours of drawing, calculating, cutting, and gluing, I managed to craft my own adhesive strip holder from cardboard on the correct scale! (See collage 2) But it also had to be printed, and over the weekend, I successfully printed it using my 3D printer at home! Unfortunately, there are no good cutting teeth on this one because I had to model them myself, so it's more of a decorative object than a functional product. Furthermore, as a functional product, it would have needed to be weighted down. I considered filling it with sand during the printing process, but decided against it since it was meant for decoration anyway. The cardboard version does better because I took out the cutting edges from two cheap adhesive strip holders and put them in there, so that one works! But I think my design is fantastic and if it were executed properly, it would be quite useful too! You can fit two rolls of tape into it, for example, one roll of writing tape and one roll of transparent tape!
