Hello. I created this project to print two identical parts simultaneously. Using my Prusa i3 3D printer and Marlin software, I successfully combined the functionality of two extruders into one machine. To make this work seamlessly, I modified an a4899 driver by cutting off its tree legs labeled "Enable", "Step", and "Direction". I then soldered wires to corresponding pins on another identical driver (check out the pictures). Next, I configured the Ramps 1.4 board by placing one driver in the E0 socket and the other in the E1 socket. To fine-tune my setup, I made changes to Marlin's configuration.h file: * #define MOTHERBOARD BOARD_RAMPS_14_EEB * #define EXTRUDERS 2 (to enable dual extrusion) * #define TEMP_SENSOR_0 1 (for accurate temperature control) * #define TEMP_SENSOR_1 1 (for the second extruder) I opted for a 200x200 heatbed, which ensures even heating and prevents hotspots. Lastly, I set X_MAX_POS to 100, allowing me to print larger objects without any issues. Enjoy experimenting with this setup!
