Dual USB Port Car Dash Mount
thingiverse
I designed this specifically for installing an old Kenwood DMX7704S aftermarket CarPlay deck in my son's 2007 Kia Sportage. The Kenwood deck came with a pair of oddly shaped USB cables, and this mount holds them in place and (mostly) fits into an existing but empty port in the dash. That's a pretty specific application, but the design is simple enough that others ought to be able to adjust it for different but similar needs. I would have built upon an existing design, but I couldn't find anything on Thingiverse that came close, which is why I'm uploading them here. Hopefully it saves someone some trouble down the road. I used an M3 threaded insert and screw for the back panel that holds the USB ports in place. Oh, and I also included the blank I made so I can plug up the hole again if we ever remove the deck :)
