Dual USB DC-DC buck voltage converter case and mount for Prusa i3
thingiverse
I bought a USB DC-DC voltage converter from Amazon to tap power source for my Raspberry Pi 3 B+ board directly from the on-board power supply of Prusa i3, and also got a dual USB voltage converter to power a light. This case and mount lets you attach the regulator to the top rail of Prusa i3. Print it with 100% fill and full support using PETG. The input voltage is tapped from one of the 24V supply terminals inside the Prusa case. The wire can be routed neatly from the top side of the enclosure near the hinge side by cutting a little triangle plastic piece from the hinge door top. Update: March 3, 2019 I redesigned the top cover so it can be printed sideways, but you'll still need to print supports for the stand off. However, post-processing will be much easier with this version. I haven't printed it myself, so let me know if you find any issues with V2.
