I often find myself switching between different filaments, one for work and another for personal use. This constant change was driving me crazy because I had to disassemble my old holder every time, which was a huge hassle. So, I decided to create an easy-load dual spool holder that would make this process a breeze. I should note that the prototype you see in the pictures is not the final product. To strengthen the central upright, I had to add an additional center piece and reprint it. Fortunately, the finished STL file now includes the stiffer upright. There are two ways to print this holder: one large piece or two separate halves. Printing a single piece would require a lot of support material, which can be a real pain. On the other hand, printing it in halves allows you to use locating pins (I've included an STL file for these) to align and assemble the two pieces together. This is my preferred method, as it makes the process much easier and more efficient.
