Dual Table Top Spool Holder

I frequently switch between different filaments, depending on whether I'm using them for work or personal projects. However, I grew tired of having to disassemble and reassemble my old holder every time I changed filaments, so I designed this easy-load dual spool holder. Note that the prototype in the pictures required an additional central piece to be printed in order to thicken the central upright and provide more stability. The finished STL files now include the thickened upright, eliminating the need for modifications. This holder offers two printing options: it can be printed in a single piece or split into two halves. While printing it in one piece would produce a lot of support material, splitting it in half is a better option. Each half has two locating holes that can be used with locating pins (STL files attached) to align the two halves during assembly. This method is my preferred way of printing the holder.
