Dual Spool Holder for Tronxy X1
thingiverse
Made this for my Tronxy X1 upgrade to dual extruder. The T-arm accommodates a range of spool widths, but the height is only for standard 1 kg spools or smaller. Requires some M3 nuts and screws for securing the T-arms. For the mount, need some M5 bolts and washers. Direct mount on the Tronxy X1 vertical beam can be done using the original bolts for the X1 handle. The T-mount can be used for other printers, but will require a custom M5 hole for fixing the T-mount in some appropriate position. My print in the picture wasn't terrific as my filaments were not very dry. Not the fault of the Tronxy X1. I subsequently tried with new Prusament and the prints turn out very nice on the good old Tronxy X1, still pretty much original parts except I upgraded to dual E3D extruders and new MKS Base controller. If you are keen to upgrade to dual extruders, let me know, I can share the mount for the dual E3D extruders as well. The MKS Base controller box I designed can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4236130
