These parts serve as substitutes in the Filament tricopter. Two tail components and motor mounts made from 1/4" dowels are used. The primary reason for creating these parts was to resolve a problem where carbon fiber PLA fed into an aluminum head printer at an angle, ultimately chewing it up. To prevent this issue, the spools are now secured by a combination of clamping pieces and a bolt above the printer. This design change allows for more secure printing.
