This is a work in progress and is untested at this moment! If you would like to print and try it out then be my guest! Just let me know how it went and post a make! Thank You! Update: V2 spool mount now has a pin that goes though the bearings to keep the bearings suspended. Also In V2 the spool rolls have been smoothed so they aren't so blocky. This is a 2 Spool Mount for the Ender 3 There are slots in each spool holder that fit ball bearings. There is no hardware needed other than 4 bearings total. They drop in and there is a long pin that inserts and then screws into one side of the mount. This pin goes through the center of the ball bearings to hold them up in the slots. The mount slots onto the top rail of the ender 3 however you would need to remove the 2 screws that hold the top rail to the left side rail together in order to slot the mount on and then replace them once the mount is slotted on. The spool holder and screw pin would need to be printed on their side with supports touching the buildplate. A tap and die set is probably beneficial to chase the threads on the screw pin. UPDATE: 1/19/23 I printed just the mount/base part to test the fitment on my machine and I am happy to announce that i got a very good fit! I will update with pics and info as soon as i have been able to print the whole piece and test it.
