Dual Saber Oculus Touch

I completely revamped the end cap and converted it into a longer, more comfortable handle. The original controller mounts didn't impress me, so I chopped them off to simplify printing. I also modified the cord holder to eliminate supports and provide a snug fit without needing a tie-down. You can still use the standard controller mounts with this new handle if you prefer. Before using the handle, make sure to thoroughly clean it to remove any printing imperfections like sharp edges or blobs. I learned that the hard way after suffering several tiny cuts during my first test before cleaning up the print. Print both the handle and hilts with walls at least 1.2mm thick and 30% infill. You can either use exceptionally strong material or heat treat the print to make it more durable. I printed mine in PETG with 2mm walls but was too aggressive during my initial testing, resulting in a snapped handle. After heat treating, I used a heat gun to fuse the outer layers of the handle together and it's now working well. Print the two screws at 100% infill with a thick perimeter. 6/16/18 - I made significant progress! The controllers fit perfectly, and I added a new strap holder that securely holds them in place while matching the style of the handle. You can expect updated files to be available soon. 6/21/18 - Everything fits together now, but it still doesn't feel quite right, and the hilts aren't lining up correctly. I'll need to make some adjustments, but I'm unsure how I want to approach that yet. 6/23/18 - The design is nearly complete! The handle has been refined, and it looks great. Anyone who downloaded the original hilt files will need to redownload them as they were slightly off. 6/25/18 - It's finally working! However, the sabers are tilted at a very wide V angle, and I'm not sure how to fix that yet. I'll either have to use someone else's controller holder or create my own using the official Oculus source files. 7/12/18 - I made a small tweak to the right hilt so the handles won't be on the same side of the saber anymore.
