I wanted to print in more than just one color and I really like the "Prometheus" system a lot. I started to build something and here is the result - it's not the first version, as you can probably guess. One thing that's very important is that the bowden cable needs to go all the way down to the heatbreak so there isn't any gap where the filament could get stuck while extruding or retracting. The cutting tool should be long enough to help guide the bowden cable perfectly and reach the heatbreak. I've attached the slicer settings for Cura that I use with Repetier Host software. To ensure a smooth retraction, you need to pull the filament back far enough so it's free of any obstacles. You'll need to try out different values to find what works best for your printer. It's also very important to retract the filament quickly and briefly, then extrude and retract it all the way down, just like dipping a spoon into soup without any drops falling off.
