Dual Mirrors - IKEA Hacked Again
thingiverse
Since my girlfriend moved in we had a bathroom struggle with the mirror; I'm much taller than her and we were unable to find the best position for the single mirror we had. It hit me that I had a couple of Ikea mirrors left over, which are sold in lots of four: https://www.ikea.com/ie/en/p/lots-mirror-39151700/. I came up with a simple solution - printing corner parts four times and central parts twice. Two of the corners need to be mirrored using your slicer, while the central part doesn't require mirroring. A link is needed to attach the corners and centre parts together; otherwise, gravity will take over and you may end up with seven years of bad luck per mirror. I went overboard with this, but it worked out fine. I had to visit a fabric shop to buy some nice rope to pass through the corners and central parts and hang them from there. The result is simple yet elegant. My girlfriend really likes it, and she can see how having a 3D printer has its advantages too. Note: if the photos appear sideways, I'm stumped; they were taken in portrait mode, but only show up that way on Thingiverse.
