Dual Light Switch Key Hanger
thingiverse
This is a remix to the single switch key hanger design. I tweaked the vertical hanging shafts to make them thinner - now they're 1.5mm instead of 2mm, which should allow the switch plate to sit more securely. This hanger will fit perfectly if the two bottom screws holding the switch plate are approximately 46mm apart. To print this hanger successfully, use 1.75mm red PLA filament with a Craftbot and slice it using Craftware. Here's what my printing settings were: I set my raster slicer to optimize for high-quality prints. The layer height was set at 0.2mm for excellent detail. Extruder speed ratio was at 100%, but the first layer slowed down to 25% to ensure proper adhesion. A 5% triangle grid infill ensured adequate strength without wasting material. I printed with four layers on top and bottom, and two vertical loops to add additional stability. Temperatures were optimal: 200C extruder temperature and 60C bed temperature. I added auto-generated supports under the hangers during printing, but now I'm not sure if it was necessary. To install this hanger perfectly, secure it with the bottom screws that hold the actual switch to the switch box. This way, the longer screws will accommodate the addition without a hitch. The short screws normally used for the switch plate won't be sufficient, so cutting the switch plate slightly to fit around the vertical shafts is recommended for a flawless install.
