Dual LifeCam HD-3000 Mount for FRC
thingiverse
FRC 6036's camera mount is designed to hold up to two Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000 cameras. The mount features adjustable positions using two bolts, both horizontally and vertically. A unique gear system provides rigidity, locking the camera in place with precision gears that prevent angle changes. For vision, one camera can be used while the other feeds the driver's feed. Horizontally, the cameras are adjusted together with precise control down to 1 degree. This is achieved by meshing small and large gears. Vertically, each camera has independent adjustment - one adjustable to 1 degree and the other to 3 degrees. However, this requires additional space. Since the two mounts are symmetrical, you can also print two of the more precise mounts and replace the less precise mount with it. The LifeCam clips have been modified from LoboCNC's LifeCam HD-3000 Mounting Bracket found on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2126754). For vision, a 60mm light ring has been attached to the clip using hot glue. To assemble the mount, you will need superglue and two small geared plates that fit onto the right-angle bracket, as well as a geared plate for each camera clip. Alternatively, you can print them in one piece, but this may impact the print quality. The base of the entire mount features a hex hole for a nut to secure it flush on a flat surface. However, there is an issue with accessing the adjusting screws, which requires removing the cameras first. You might also need a screw of the correct length; if not, you can cut one to size or use washers as spacers on the top surface.
