Dual layer maze puzzle box
prusaprinters

Dual layered maze game that have to be solved simultaneously, over the length they are locked together but the cylinders on the other part rotate independently

If you want to use it to insert a gift I would advice to go for the MazeNoCap.stl version so they can't easily open it without solving the puzzle. This does mean you will have to do the whole maze in reverse before giving it to them.

Make sure you have plenty of part cooling and don't print at to high speeds for the maze and print in place joint part. The maze has a 65° overhang that is 2.5mm long.

The print in place joint is uploaded in 2 versions 0.15mm clearance and 0.2mm clearance. The 0.15mm clearance version works a bit nicer but is harder to print.

Post processing:

-Cut open holes print in place joint (see pictures)

-Cut open holes handle (see pictures).

-Attach handle on print in place joint with M3x8 bolts.

I hope you like the print if you make one please share some pictures and post a make!

I printed a few myself so everything should be ok but if you encounter any problems please contact me so I can update the model if needed.

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCca2UvQJVs&ab_channel=alex00"></oembed>

Print Settings

Printer:

Artillery Genius

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.12mm - 0.3mm

Infill:

10%

Filament:
Makerpoint PLA
Mat Blue, and red

Notes:

Loads of cooling on the maze and print in place joint parts because of the overherhangs.

Category: Puzzles
