I figured out months ago that I needed a way to print multiple colors without having to swap them mid-print. I started researching and found some parts that fit what I was looking for, then placed my orders. However, when it came to mounting everything, I realized there wasn't a system designed specifically for two separate hotends - only single mixed ones. After working through a few preliminary designs, I came up with one that got the job done, but it wasn't exactly elegant. Later on, I discovered Jon at Proper Printing and fell in love with his tool change system! Although I don't have any other tools right now, knowing that I can easily add new functionality to my printer is awesome. Since I wanted his system so badly, I went back to the drawing board and simplified all of my earlier designs, eventually coming up with this one!
