This plate is engineered to assist individuals with dual-head printers in achieving precise alignment between their nozzles. The intended application involves several steps: Measure as closely as possible through direct measurement. Print a coarse alignment plate tailored to your specific nozzle size (0.5mm range). Adjust the head offsets within your slicer based on which target lines up most accurately. Be aware that printers' axes may not always align with the positive/negative axis on the plate, so you might need to reverse the measurement direction. Repeat steps 2-3 until your printer is aligned as closely as possible using that plate. Print a fine alignment plate customized for your nozzle size (0.2mm range). Align in the same manner as the coarse alignment. Repeat steps 5-6 as necessary to achieve optimal head alignment. I have generated and included files for various nozzle sizes (0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm) and ranges (0.5mm coarse, 0.2mm fine). The model is created using OpenSCAD, so if your printer employs two distinct nozzle sizes that are not evenly divisible or different from what I've included, you can modify it. Also, do not scale the marks, as they are designed to match the size of the nozzle precisely. Scaling will compromise the print quality. If a different size is required, open up an existing OpenSCAD file and adjust the parameters to generate your desired model.
