Dual head Calibration Plate - Checker board
thingiverse
This is a checker board pattern designed specifically to verify calibration of dual head printers by testing XY axis alignment as well as idle head ooze control. The color pattern reverses during the second half of the print, providing an additional reference point for adjustments. Two distinct parts make up this design, each Cura scaled and oriented for optimal printing results. When loaded into a printer's print space, users can select Dual Extrusion Merge to combine these parts into a single print with two colors. The part loaded first will serve as the primary head, while the second part will be designated as the secondary. To achieve accurate calibration, it is highly recommended to use filament that has been properly calibrated. For printers requiring high precision, calibration clips can be used, holding a tolerance of 0.1mm or better. Such clips are available on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1037301. Print Settings: Printer: ReliaBuild 3D Dual (RB3 Dual) Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 20% Notes: An ooze shield was employed around the print area, and retraction settings may need to be adjusted for specific filaments.
