I utilize a top-of-the-line universal GPS receiver for precision track days on both motorcycles and cars. This advanced technology allows me to achieve impressive processing speeds of 5Hz compared to the standard 1Hz rate facilitated by an iPhone, specifically utilizing Harry's Laptimer Pro. As a result, I'm able to capture significantly more accurate lap times. In conjunction with GoPro mounts securely attached to each vehicle, I still faced the challenge of finding a suitable method for integrating the Dual GPS unit. To resolve this issue, I decided to downsize the components that connect to the GoPro mount, thereby minimizing the amount of post-print finishing required to ensure a proper fit. Utilizing my trusty Makerbot Replicator 2 and printing with high-quality PLA materials, I achieved excellent results by opting for vertical orientation during the printing process.
