Designed to film both sides of the windsurfer's mast using 2 GoPros. Print the mast clamp in ABS or Polycarbonate and camera housing in flexible filament, achieving maximum strength and toughness. I opted out of PLA and PETG for this project. A 1.2mm wall thickness and 45% Cubic infill are used to ensure durability. HobbyKing filaments are employed for both the mast clamp and camera housing. The ideal length Velcro strap to secure the mast clamp is 20mm x 200mm, easily sourced from online retailers or local hobby shops. Similar straps are often utilized in racing drones. A precise interference fit exists between the clamp and flexible housing; maintaining perfect square alignment is crucial when assembling them together. A punch can be used to push in the final couple of mm. Both mounts feature a small 2mm hole on the underside, allowing for a 2mm plastic screw to secure the housings in place. To do so, drill through the flexible housing rail with a 1.5mm drill and insert a screw. Alternatively, poke through a hot nail or soldering iron tip to melt the two together. Disclaimer: Use at your own risk; this design has been tested by top PWA wave sailors and held up well, but breaking can occur under extreme circumstances.
