Dual gear extruder TPU modification
thingiverse
I experienced an extruder clog during a print job involving TPU filament. The extruder outlet port features a 2 mm hole that gradually expands into an M10 threaded opening. On my specific extruder setup, the 4mm PTFE tubing failed to extend all the way up to the 2 mm section due to its limited size. To address this issue, I carefully sharpened the end of the PTFE tube using a pencil sharpener. I recommend testing this approach with some old PTFE tubing before proceeding. Next, I created a round spacer to fill the empty space surrounding the PTFE tube. This solution worked effectively in resolving my problem. Notably, when the PTFE tube was aligned with the 2mm hole, it gained 1.5mm compared to a flat cut on the tube. There are two different versions of the spacer available, each designed for use with either RC type of PC4_M10 connector.
