Dual Filament Roller Holder Bearings
thingiverse
Update: I tweaked the rollers so they now feature a ridge where bearings can rest against it, minimizing the friction between the inside of the bearings and the roller. A creative twist on the original design, this dual filament holder stacks two units back to back and combines most of the components. This holder relies on 608zz bearings - be sure to lubricate them before using - and M3 screws. You can use three from the bottom on either side, but I opted for four from the side on each side. M3 25 to M3 45 should suffice as the screw holes in the holder are remarkably long. Four STL files are included: the Body, single spool, single side, and a combo of two sides with four spools. I typically print this without support and clean it up afterwards, but adding supports would yield a nicer finish. The design is straightforward, so I prefer 3 to 4 layers on the walls, 3 layers on the bottom, and 6 layers on top. I use economy-friendly filament for this utility print as appearance isn't crucial. The result is incredibly robust!
